The Rockstarz Scorecard: 100 Points Total
Rate your friend on a scale of 1 to 25 for each category.
🎙️ 1. Vocal Delivery (Max 25 Points)
This measures the technical difficulty and execution. We grade on a curve, but mistakes cost you.
- 1-5 Pts: Pitch is nonexistent. Didn’t know the words. Should have stayed at home.
- 10-15 Pts: Mostly in key, but kept reading the screen. A safe, boring choice.
- 20-25 Pts: Nailed the high note, owned the difficult vocal run, and showed genuine range. This is the truth.
💥 2. Stage Presence & Swagger (Max 25 Points)
This is the attitude. Were they a statue or a storm?
- 1-5 Pts: Stood still. Glued to the screen. Looked like they were waiting for the dentist.
- 10-15 Pts: Tapped one foot. Pointed at the crowd once. Used the mic stand incorrectly.
- 20-25 Pts: Used the entire stage. Made eye contact with the crowd and staff. Committed fully to a choreographed disaster or a perfect power stance.
👑 3. The Commitment Factor (Max 25 Points)
Effort wins. Did they choose the easy route or the glorious route?
- 1-5 Pts: Chose a song everyone sings. Zero props. Zero effort on vocals.
- 10-15 Pts: Wore a hat. Sang a lesser-known B-side. Clapped awkwardly mid-song.
- 20-25 Pts: Brought a prop (or used one of ours). Sang a song way outside their comfort zone. Persuaded the crowd to join in the full-throttle sing-along.
🎉 4. Audience Reaction (Max 25 Points)
This is the only category that matters: did the crowd validate the chaos?
- 1-5 Pts: Silence. Maybe a pity clap from their table. DJ looked bored.
- 10-15 Pts: Moderate applause. Two people sang along. Staff noticed them.
- 20-25 Pts: FULL THROTTLE SING-ALONG. Massive, genuine applause. Security cracked a smile. Bartender immediately poured them another $2.50 Bud Light (Happy Hour, Mon-Fri, 3 PM – 7 PM).
Final Status Check (Total Score)
Calculate the total points (out of 100) to determine the singer’s true status:
- 1-25 Points: The Tourist. You came, you saw, you failed. Stick to the easy stuff next time.
- 26-50 Points: The Weekender. Fun enough, but forgettable. Need more swagger and better planning.
- 51-75 Points: The Local Legend. Solid performance, great energy, you earned your spot at the bar.
- 76-100 Points: The True Rockstar. You commanded the mic, owned the stage, and left your chaos on the floor. You win the night.
The Scorers’ Strategy: Make the Results Public
Don’t keep the scores a secret! The funniest part of the night is making the results known.
- Final Tip: Announce the Score: Write the final score (78/100!). When the singer comes off the stage, tell them you’re buying their next Happy Hour drink, but only after they announce their score to the table.
- Document the Judging: Take photos of your scorecard to upload the next day and start the debate. The only thing better than a perfect performance is a terrible score that everyone agrees on.
